With a population of over tweleve thousand in 2010 Arkansas City sits between the banks of the Arkansas and Walnut Rivers. There is quite a bit of industry here including tile manufacturing, oil refining, meat packing and is a shipping center with a railroad junction. As far as recreation there seems like plenty to do with waterfalls, fishing, museusms and casinos just to name a few.
